Visit the old town of Trogir and its seaside surroundings! Trogir is an historic town and harbour on the Adriatic coast. It is situated on a small island and its center has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Trogir can compare with any of the towns on the coast in terms of historic sights, and its Cathedral of St. Lawrence is one of the finest on the Adriatic. The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement dates back to the Hellenistic period and it was embellished by successive rulers with much fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. Its beautiful Romanesque churches are complemented by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period.
